Sorry for Spilt Milk's lack of up keep! This summer has been FILLED with vacations and missing play groups! SO much is changing in our group--we have two new babies on the way (both BOYS), and two people in the process of buying and moving into new homes! How much more change can this group handle? give us some time and I am sure by the fall I will have plenty more to report.
Now a days our group conversations revolve around tantrum management, what my toddler eats and more importantly what he/she DOESN'T eat, when is my next Mom's night out away from the terrible two's, potty training and lack there of, and preschool--ahh the dreaded preschool--to school early or not school early that is the question.
Side note: Typical of the teacher in the bunch I have been seeking out what is in the area, and will be willing to share my findings on this website once the search is complete! Apparently preschool is the new college. You have the CHOICE to send your kid there--but two things to keep in mind--you must A. enroll early, good programs can get filled up a YEAR in advance, and B. realize that preschool is no longer like the way we grew up--it is actually preparing our little ones for school since Kindergarten no longer teaches ABC's and 123's--you better go in knowing them. Therefore preschool isn't for "socializing" only, as some might think! Crazy how times have changed, but they certainly have!
This week we had an added bonus of enjoying our play group at fellow mom Emily's Mom's house. The kids enjoyed playing in the water and feasting on bagels. The mom's enjoyed catching up since it has been a while for some of us to see one another.
Here are some pics from this past week:
(we sadly missed Kerri and Ashley who were on a road trip, and sadly there is only one picture of Melody since she is the fastest darn kid I know in the bunch!)
ok ok so I didn't have any other color swim diaper to put on my BOY
