The ladies starting a band

We started our group at our new time this week. It was a little weird getting together when there was still a morning breeze, damp grass, hair still wet, and just starting our day. Sadly we missed a few members today--Pam and Melody are on vacation, and Emily and the girls were not feeling well. It was Bianca's birthday so we sang to her with a plate of muffins (who wants to eat cake at 10am :-) ). We admired Meridith's new bathroom that her husband did a fabulous job installing. The breakfast spread was a new fix to our group and very enjoyable. Meridith stepped it up a notch with delightful mini quiches! Next week the group will be celebrating Anthony Joseph and Julia's 2nd birthday! We will be missing out since we will be in Aruba and Pam will still be on vacation, but hopefully the group will take lots of pics so that I can post!
(sorry for the lack of pictures this round--Rylan is still an early sleeper so we had to jet early)

Moms Night Out

We enjoyed a Mom's Night Out this Friday at Sesame Seed Restaurant. We were seated in the kitchen (ok not the ACTUAL kitchen but the scene of one), and had the room to ourselves the entire night. We think it is because they worried us mom's might get a little rowdy. We enjoyed falafel and hummus, our specialty entrees, and yummy dessert. We had great discussion revolving babies (3 pregnant ladies at the table with baby #2), homes (buying, repairing, updating), monster toddlers, food, and of course the New Kids On The Block Reunion AND 90210 coming back on air! (time warp for us and our generation). We wanted to chat longer, but sadly we found the waitress was demanding for the bill, and the music was suddenly shut off...which left us with a bit of a "huh?"..we better get moven!
We are looking forward to future Mom gatherings in the outdoor space of the Putnam House!

Lillian Tries out the BUMBO

This week we enjoyed our Mothers Day Celebration at Pam and Melody's home. Pam made a delightful brunch that even the kids enjoyed feasting on! We also got to meet baby Emilie--Pam's new niece! The kids enjoyed playing outside. Lillian attempted the Bumbo seat. We missed Bianca and Anthony Joseph this week. At this stage of the game we are all over the map when it comes to naps. Next week we start having group in the mourning! Kick off happens at Meridith and Penelope's house!

Boys Rule

Today we enjoyed our afternoon at Emily's home (and Julian and Lillian's too). We welcomed Bianca and Anthony Joseph back from their trip. We all marveled at how calm, cool, and collected Bianca seemed after flying with a toddler, and another little BOY in her belly-- all the way to Italy and back! (she is BRAVE) Emily fed us yummy pasta salad, and lemonade on ice (which was the perfect drink for this warm May day)! Meridith came minus Penelope to chat with the Mom's! She also shared her ultra sound pictures today! She is a number of weeks shy of finding out what the sex of the baby is--but she knows this much after today --in her own words "I am having a power ranger baby" (the ultra sound pic had a face shot that looks like a power ranger mask). The kids enjoyed playing in Julia's room for the last time (as Emily and Dave have sold their house and moving on to bigger and better things as their family grows!). We wish them great luck in their efforts for finding a home and look forward to seeing where they land! All of the kids seem to find Lillian very interesting. They seemed a bit stunned to see another human being smaller then they are. As all the kids are approaching 2...we are stunned how "big" our kids are getting. They are doing big kid things like walking up and down stairs on their own, holding open cups, trying the potty, and wanting out of strollers to stroll on their own. My how time flies!
Next week we celebrate Mother's Day and Pam's home (and Melody's too).

Moms DAY Out WITHOUT The Kids

Our Toddlers Gave Us The Day Off!
So we enjoyed a day of comedy!

We went to see comedian Anita Renfroe which you may recall seeing on this blog earlier this year--or on You Tube last Fall singing "Mom Sense" to the William Overture. Here is another funny clip of her singing about "MAN breath!"

We enjoyed the show that was showered with humor, mom talk, and women "stuff". We then enjoyed feasting on the CHOCOLATE reception.

Thanks to our pint size bosses for giving us a day off and for those that helped make it happen!
