The kids have learned to chat like their moms

This Thursday we celebrated our annual? (ummmm...ok it is our first one) Spilt Milk Tots Christmas party/mini cookie swap. Rylan and I hosted it at our festive home. All the kids came decked out in their deck the halls holiday wear (the ladies in their festive dresses (or leather skirts!), and the boys in their sweater vests! We did a few festive holiday crafts with hand prints. And we ate....ALOT. I figured since it was Christmas after all we HAD to have a SERIOUS SPREAD...and I am happy to inform everyone that I think I filled every belly in the place quite well. We also exchanged secret Santa gifts for Mom and Tot! Kerri surprised us all with some beautiful ornaments, and I surprised all the moms with some homemade of mini scrapbooks of each of kids! We ended the day with some cookie swapping, which will be the reason for the weight loss new years resolution! It was wonderful to celebrate such great times with such great friends!
Spilt Milk will be on a little break for the Holidays and will be returning Jan 8 at Meridith's house!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a VERY Happy NEW YEAR to everyone who reads our blog!

Meridith and Mel found a good read

This Tuesday we had group at Pam and Melody's home. We all warmed up with yummy cheesy potato soup and conversation. Their fish and kitty was a HIT! As Rylan and Penelope tried to man handle Slim Kitty and were mesmerized by the fish. We had to leave early that day so we are short on pictures this week and including all the kids in them (sorry)!

Holiday MOM's Night Out

The Holiday Group of Momma's at the Inn at Newtown

Rebecca and Emily

We had another great event with all the familar faces, and some from the past! It is always great to reconnect. We had some great eats, drinks, and chats! The table shared the usual talk....labor and delevery (this topic never gets boring in a group full of mom's), and husband's (how they always seem to pick out the worst outfit when they are left to dress the baby...you know the stained one at the back and bottom of the draw!), timeouts with 18 months olds and an array of other great things that we all have common bond over. It is funny how hanging out with other mom's it is easy to find things to discuss as we stayed out until 11:30! and it other situations with "non-parents" you can easily trip over things to find to talk about. We also have two lovely pregnant ladies in the group! Emily is expecting in Feb. with another little girl and it is right around the corner...and MAN does she look GREAT! Rebecca is due in May with her 2nd little boy! It was great times had by all and as always look forward to the next outing!

Hey can you find the Jesus in the manger...I CAN!

We all had a great time at Emily's and Julia's home this Tuesday. We enjoyed the holiday atmosphere, music, video, and great brownie/Christmas tree (which was so kindly made into a birthday cake for this queen blogger). We also always enjoy drinking sparkling cider over Emily's since she likes to trick herself into thinking it is a nice cold glass of wine (don't worry Em the end is near! Soon baby Mancusi will be out and you can enjoy!). The kids enjoyed interacting with each other...but as we all know with toddlers...every interaction ends up being a fight about something...food, toy, whatever it may be. We are all starting to realize we much start using some timeouts sooner then later. And we thought our little angels would continue as so.
